It is with great excitement that we welcome riders, supporters, and cycling fans to County Monaghan for the National Masters Championships. This year’s event promises to be a true celebration of Irish cycling, bringing together the very best Masters riders from across the country for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and community spirit.
The action begins on Saturday, 23rd August, with the National Masters Time Trial Championships a test of pure speed, precision, and endurance against the clock. The racing continues on Sunday, 24th August, with the National Masters Road Racing Championships, where tactics, teamwork, and determination will be on full display.
Hosted by Emyvale Cycling Club, we are honoured to play a part in delivering such a prestigious event. Our roads will showcase not only the skill and dedication of the competitors but also the warm hospitality and passion that our local cycling community is known for.
A special word of thanks goes to our neighbouring clubs, in particular Island Wheelers, for their invaluable support, and to our experienced organising team for their tireless work in making this championship a reality. We are deeply grateful to the marshals, volunteers, and committee members of Emyvale CC who have stepped up to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.
Whether you are racing for the podium, challenging yourself to a personal best, or cheering from the roadside, we hope this championship will be a memorable experience for all.
On behalf of Emyvale CC and Cycling Ulster, I wish all competitors the very best of luck. Here’s to an enjoyable, safe, and unforgettable weekend of racing.
