Craig Sweetman Memorial Race 2026

The Craig Sweetman Memorial Race took place on Monday 20th July as part of the Mark Mullen League, organised and promoted by Drogheda Wheelers.

Held in memory of the late Craig Sweetman, the event attracted a large and enthusiastic turnout from clubs across the region, highlighting the respect and affection in which Craig is held throughout the cycling community.

The race was handicapped into four groups, creating competitive and exciting racing throughout the evening. Representing Emyvale Cycling Club, Dara McKenna and Declan McEntee were among the riders who took to the start line and competed in this well-supported event.

The strong participation and atmosphere on the day were a fitting tribute to Craig's legacy and his contribution to Irish cycling. We congratulate all riders who took part and extend our thanks to Drogheda Wheelers for organising another successful edition of this memorable race.
