Sunday, 22nd March saw Emyvale CC represented at the Coombes Connor Memorial Race in Drogheda, Co. Louth, with Declan McEntee lining up in the C2 race.

Declan launched a strong attack off the front of the bunch

On the third lap he launched a strong attack off the front of the bunch, opening a gap and pulling several riders with him. The breakaway held firm all the way to the line, setting up a fast and tactical finish.

Declan takes 3rd place in the C2 race

Digging deep in the final kilometres, Declan powered through the group and sprinted to an impressive 3rd place. It was a rapid race from the gun, but he showed strength, confidence, and serious determination throughout.
