Rebecca Edwards impresses at Bobby Crilly Classic 2026

Emyvale Cycling Club member Rebecca Edwards continued her introduction to competitive cycling with a strong performance at the Bobby Crilly Classic, promoted by Phoenix CC near
Belfast International Airport, Co. Antrim, on Sunday 16th August.
The event marked the final round of the prestigious Irish National Road Series, attracting a large and competitive field from across Ireland. Riders faced a fast and demanding race from the outset, with heavy traffic around the airport junction adding to the challenge of an already testing course.
For Rebecca, who is new to the racing scene, this was her first-ever road race. Despite the intensity of the event, she showed great determination and composure throughout, remaining safely in the bunch and battling all the way to the finish line.
It was a hugely encouraging debut, and judging by her enthusiasm after the race, it certainly won't be her last. Rebecca has clearly caught the racing bug, and we look forward to seeing her represent Emyvale Cycling Club at many more events in the future.
