The PJ Logan Race took place in Coalisland, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, hosted by Island Wheelers Cycling Club, and once again lived up to its reputation as one of the tougher races on the calendar.

Emyvale CC was well represented by Dara McKenna and Declan McEntee, both of whom lined up for the day’s racing. Due to low entry numbers, there was no C1 event, with riders instead competing across the C2 and C3 races.

Conditions stayed dry throughout, but riders had fierce headwinds to contend with around the course. The challenging figure‑of‑eight layout, combined with sharp, snappy climbs, ensured it was a hard‑fought race from start to finish.

Both lads rode strongly throughout. Declan finished safely in the main bunch, with a breakaway of seven or eight riders managing to get clear.

Dara showed great determination, battling hard in the uphill sprint to secure a solid 16th place.

Another tough day’s racing, and a strong performance from both riders on a demanding course.
