The Alan Towel Memorial Road Race, promoted by Banbridge Cycling Club, took place on the scenic but demanding roads between Dromore and Hillsborough in County Down. Riders were treated to a challenging course set against a backdrop of rolling spring countryside.
Declan Mc Entee lined out in the competitive C2 race, which covered a tough 103km over six laps. The accompanying C3 race totalled 73.5km, while the main event saw riders complete 134km over eight laps. The overall race victory was claimed by Jack Conroy of Vel Performance RT.

Conditions were ideal, with excellent spring weather and plenty of sunshine adding to a memorable day of racing. From the flag drop, the pace was high and the racing intense. Declan rode strongly throughout, showing great resilience and consistency on this fast, demanding course. True to form, he stuck it out in the thick of the action and finished strongly in the main bunch after a solid performance.
